The 2009 F-Class Team will have a great challenge in following the footsteps of the previous two US F-Class World Championship teams. Particularly, amazing shooters like the late Dick Vesy and Skip Talbot as well as the ever young at heart J. J. Conway (affectionately known as the "Old Geezer"), who pioneered F-Class shooting in the US.
The 2009 Team tryout period will be completed at the conclusion of the 2008 F-Class National Championship in Lodi in October. During the tryout period, we are also training in a team shooting environment and building cohesiveness of the shooters and coaches. My personal goal is that by the time the team is announced in October of 2008 we will have completed a large part of our training and fine tuned our equipment. This training will continue up to our departure for Bisley, England for the World Championship in July 2009.
The preparation, training, and attending of the World Championship require large sacrifices on the part of the members of the team. We will do our best to bring home the gold and to make the country be proud of us.
