I am excited to announce the appointment of Shiraz Balolia as Vice Captain of the 2013 World Championship Team. His organizational skills, shooting knowledge, and previous team experience made him an obvious choice in moving forward.
I would like to thank previous Team Captain Bob Bock and Vice Captain Shiraz Balolia for their tireless efforts in building and maintaining the 2009 World Championship Team . As other team members, team volunteers, and other team officers around the world know, this is not an easy undertaking. With the groundwork laid by all the previous U.S. teams, and the many talented and driven shooters and coaches throughout the U.S., we are poised to build a team with unprecedented depth, talent, and experience that will be difficult to beat. As we look forward to building the 2013 Team, I would like to express my sincere excitement and gratitude to this current team. They have proven to be an inspiring group. What an honor and privilege it is, and will be, to have a part in leading such a team.
Around the world, the F-Class community, F-Open and F-T/R alike, continue to promote this growing shooting sport to unprecedented levels. Our equipment and abilities continue to push the limits of accuracy and results. The comradery and competition between individuals, teams , and countries is reaching new heights. To our gracious hosts in England for this past World Championship, and all other countries that participated, or will be participating in upcoming events, we look forward to increasing the spirit of competition amongst us these next 3 years.
We will start recruiting individuals interested in participating on the 2013 U.S. F-Class Open Rifle Team in January. Please email usfclass@comcast.net with a subject of "2013 U.S. F-Class Open Rifle Team" if you have interest in trying out for the team. I will follow up with further information shortly after receiving your email.
